I have always been convinced that music is located in a world that is independent of politics, religious differences, and all prejudices and that it is also an international language that is readily understood by each and all. My visit to Rabat has borne out my convictions. The public was just fantastic.
It has been a privilege for me to appear at Mawazine. It is amazing to participate in a musical event of such a high caliber –one that gathers together such a large number of different cultures.
What I have found in Morocco exceeded all of my expectation. I am in love with this country and I love the people, the music, and the gastronomy. I thank His Majesty King Mohammed VI and all those who have received me so warmly.
To appear in a show in Morocco was momentous. It was a concert which I will always remember. We have attained such a high level (of performance) and the public has felt it (and responded).
Performing, in the company of the Royal Symphonic Orchestra, in Morocco for the first time has been a memorable experience. I eagerly hope to come back to this beautiful country.

I was 19 when I first came to Morocco. I came back on several occasions. But it was thanks to Mawazine that I discovered Rabat. I have had exceptional moments and the organizers are incredible hosts. I applaud this festival for the primordial role it is playing.
